* Zeus: Master of Olympus (also Master of Olympus - Zeus) is the fifth full title of the City Building Series developed by Impressions Games and published by Sierra Entertainment.
Like previous titles, Zeus focuses on the building and development of a city in ancient times, this time the Ancient Greece. It features some changes to the Caesar III engine, most notably the new housing blocks, now dividing "common" and "elite" housing from the start, and more detailed walkers.
* Master of Atlantis - Poseidon (also known as Zeus Official Expansion: Poseidon) is a historical city building game expansion pack set in ancient Greece. It is the expansion pack to Master of Olympus - Zeus. Its most visible addition was the new Atlantean theme, however the overall setup was kept the same the major changes being that instead of having Culture buildings like theaters, the Atlanteans have science buildings like observatories, and libraries. The Game also introduced two new gods to the game available to both the Greeks and Atlanteans, Hera-whose Sanctuary was accompanied by Orange Trees, and Atlas who could help speed up the construction of sanctuaries or with the Atlantean's Pyramids.
Adventures and episodes
In the previous games, the player had to build a city from nothing in most scenarios. There was also little or no possibility to carry over achievements from one scenario to another. In contrast, Zeus uses adventures rather than scenarios. Each adventure is divided into several episodes. Each episode has a set of goals that must be met in order to advance to the next episode. The player's city (called the parent city) is carried over to the next episode, along with the status of the world map. Some adventures include colony episodes. In these, the player must choose a site from a few possibilities and build a new city there. Unlike the parent city, the colony isn't revisited after its initial construction, however it appears on the world map in subsequent scenarios, acting as a trading partner and paying tribute to the player.
